Jonny Kydd is a band (led by Jonathan Kydd in fact!) with a sound that combines beautiful pop/rock melodies and haunting lyrics with a Celtic twist. He's been performing live for about 3 years and has played over 150 gigs. He goes out frequently as a two piece...occasionally with the brilliantly skillful violinist Anna Phoebe. But less with her since she's been playing with Oi Va Voi and Jethro Tull and doing her own brilliant stuff. More recently he's been playing with silky skilled guitarist Mal Darwen who also plays in Jonathan's comedy band the 'Amazing Singing Dentists (www.theamazingsingingdentists.co.uk).
Sometimes they're a three piece with double bass player Sandy Burnett. And then there can be the full band with drummer Justin Scott.
JK inhabits the London area of England in West Kensington just off the Shepherd's Bush Road..
Stop press: Jonathan has written and recorded a song for Chelsea FC called 'Chelsea Blue'. View the vid at this address. In fact click on it: www.thesingingdentists.co.uk/CBlue.html
